Full-Stack (JAVA/KOTLIN) Engineer with German (Regular/Senior)

Start: ASAP | Full-time | Long-term (min. 12 months)
Model: Hybrid / Remote + possible client visits
Project: Financial industry (DACH)

Project Overview

Join VM.PL and become part of a team developing a mature, enterprise-grade financial platform used by institutions operating in the Wealth Management sector. The solution serves as a Financial CRM, advisory system, and client portal, supporting financial advisors, end clients, and business processes related to documentation and customer management.

The platform has been continuously developed for many years as a stable, business-critical product. It is based on a monolithic architecture with a reactive data model. Your day-to-day work will focus primarily on enhancing the application layer, customizing existing functionalities, debugging complex business processes, and maintaining high-quality solutions. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working with an established product, understanding existing architecture, and continuously improving it rather than building greenfield microservices.

  • Build and modify UI components and layouts using CSS and Kotlin.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug applications built with Java and Kotlin.
  • Develop business logic and work with the platform's reactive data model.
  • Contribute to backend development (approximately 20–30%), including REST integrations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Solution Architect, and development team.
  • Investigate issues, fix defects, and improve application stability.
  • Perform manual testing of implemented features when required.
